This is our biggest distribution yet and I think it will be even bigger next month. Our group of volunteers are phenominal! They are cheerful and ready to go. Several helped unload the semi when it came in and put all of the boxes in the right place. There are a group of teenagers and preteens that pitch right in and help wherever they are needed. They carry boxes for people and help keep the lines moving. I will miss next month's distribution due to being out of town. Check out Angel Food Ministries on the web to find a site in your area. It has really been a blessing to many. Even if you feel you couldn't use this for yourself, you may know someone who would and also consider becoming a volunteer for the group in your area. There is alot of work involved in getting this program together but with many hands helping it makes it much more enjoyable.

this really is a great program!! we have it in our area too and I have heard some great things about it. Looks like a lot of people there... were they all helpers or were some of them picking up too? If that is all help there were a lot of people, however it looks like you needed them too!!
The helpers have their backs to the camera. Those are all lines of people picking up. Matt and I both volunteer each month. Matt helps unload the tractor trailer and I take orders for the next distribution and also help delegate places for the volunteers. Austin helps carry boxes to people's cars. I think we have shaved about $50 per week off our grocery bill by getting this ourselves.
